Went to the PacWest Treasure Trove race at King City last weekend and, although, I didn't come home with a ton of cash, I was so thrilled with Doodle's (Oh Corolla) performance on Sunday.  He ended up 10th in the 1-D out of 190 horses with room for improvement.  I got this horse out of Texas and he was a challenge from the beginning.  Shaking his head, ball of nerves, ulcers, pulling on the bit, couldn't lope a circle without losing it, etc.  I wouldn't give up on him because I knew he had the talent and breeding (by World Champion Distance Horse - Calyx - and out of a mare with a Speed Index of 97 by Three Ohs (All American Futurity winner) http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/index.php?query_type=horse&horse=OH+COROLLA&g=5&cellpadding=0&small_font=1&l= to be a top horse.  This horse would do awesome at Pendleton!  He is bred for it and no one has seen his top speed yet.  He can run like a top fueler!  My plan is to run him at Pendleton next year and let him fly.  If you know you have something special - don't give up!  Here are the results from the race on Sunday and also a link to the entire weekend.
